Gas Self-Closing Valve

A gas self-closing valve, also called a self-closing valve, is used in low-pressure gas pipelines. 1. Are there essential differences in the design of Safety Groups?

There is a clear difference between them. Boiler parts mainly deal with higher pressure, usually about 3–10 bar, and use seals that can handle high heat. Water heater parts work at lower pressure, around 1–3 bar, and focus more on accurate pressure control and letting air out smoothly. Pressure vessel parts need stronger materials to resist long-term pressure and fatigue, and some must meet ASME BPVC rules.

2. How to deal with quality problems within the warranty scope of the Safety Group Valve?

The warranty period is 18 months, counted from the day the goods arrive, which is longer than the usual 12 months in the market. During the warranty time, if there are problems caused by production, such as water leakage or inaccurate pressure control, we offer two options. First, we can replace the product with a new one of the same model for free, including shipping. Second, for overseas customers, we can give repair help through video guidance.

3. What is Safety Group’s packaging?

We use three layers of packaging to protect the products. Each item is first wrapped in an independent bubble bag, then placed in a custom foam box, and finally packed into a strong five-layer corrugated carton. Precision parts like pressure gauges are also covered with extra protective sleeves. Moisture-proof materials and shock-absorbing pads are put inside every box. The outer carton is clearly marked with “precision instrument” and “handle with care”. For bulk shipping, fumigated wooden pallets are used to keep the goods stable, which helps prevent damage or pressure errors caused by bumps during transport.

4. What material does Safety Group use for seals?

EPDM is used for conventional seals, PTFE or silicone rubber is used for special scenarios; EPDM seals have an aging resistance life of 5 years and can be used stably under 80℃; it is recommended that the replacement cycle be synchronized with the equipment maintenance cycle (usually 2-3 years). The factory can provide spare parts kits that match the seals, facilitating future customer replacements.

5. Will the price be adjusted according to the fluctuations of Safety Group materials?

After the first order is confirmed, we will sign a price guarantee agreement. The agreement usually lasts 6 months, and long-term customers can extend it to 12 months. During this time, if you place more orders and the raw material price changes only a little, the product price will stay the same. If the raw material price goes up a lot, we will tell you at least 15 days in advance and discuss a new price or order plan.

6. What are the core components of the Safety Group produced by the factory? 

It includes a safety valve, a pressure gauge, an automatic exhaust valve, a support bracket, and sealing parts. Some models also have an insulation layer. Support customization is available according to customer conditions, which may include a pressure switch, check valve, and other components. After any changes, the system will be sealed again and fully tested to make sure it works safely and correctly.

7. What is the material grade corresponding to the material used by Safety Group?

Brass material is CuZn39Pb3 (EU designation CW 617N), stainless steel is 304 (1.4301) or 316L (1.4404, optional). Each batch of products can be supplied with a material certificate. The certificate follows EN 10204 3.1B standard and shows the furnace number, material composition, and basic strength test results, so customers can clearly check the material quality.

8. Is the pressure gauge range in the kit customizable?

Pressure gauge range can be customized according to needs (such as 0-2bar, 0-10bar), accuracy level is 1.6, can be upgraded to 1.0; interface type covers mainstream standards, including BSP (1/4″, 1/2″), NPT (1/4″, 3/8″), G thread, and metric thread, can be marked with customer-specified thread code.

9. Will the Safety Group crack due to freezing at low-temperature?

The low temperature model uses special brass (CW602N) and EPDM seals. It can work at temperatures as low as -20℃. The valve has a design to stop freezing, so it will not crack in very cold areas. This makes it suitable for places like Northern Europe and Canada.
