FAQs of Flexible Stainless Steel Braided Hose
1. What is the aging test data of the stainless steel braided hose?
Plumberstar flexible stainless steel braided hoses use two key tests: accelerated aging and long-term working condition simulation. We check three areas: material durability, structure stability, and anti-fatigue performance. This makes sure the products stay safe and reliable after years of use.
- Thermal cycle impact test: We connect the hose to a test machine. We run 90°C hot water and 4°C cold water in turn, switching quickly. We keep this for thousands of cycles. This simulates years of use with water heaters and taps. It tests the heat resistance of the inner tube (EPDM/PEX). It also checks how firm the connection is with metal joints under big temperature changes. Many low-quality hoses become brittle or loose in this test.
- Dynamic pressure pulse test: At room temperature, we apply a pulse of water pressure from 0 to 15 Bar. Frequency: 30–60 times per minute. Total: hundreds of thousands of impacts. This simulates the “water hammer” when you close a tap suddenly. This sudden high pressure is a main cause of hose bursting. The test checks the strength of the stainless steel braid and the reliability of the joint crimping.
Plumberstar hoses can pass more than 250,000 pressure pulse cycles. The industry standard is usually only 100,000 cycles. Our hoses have over 2.5 times the fatigue life of ordinary products against daily water hammer impacts.
2. What parameters are needed to customize braided hoses per customer drawings?
Plumberstar can customize flexible stainless steel braided hoses for you. You just need to provide drawings (2D/3D) or physical samples.
We want to make sure customized products are precise and reliable. They need the correct size, proper connections, good sealing, safe pressure bearing, and consistent quality. So please clearly tell us these parameters in your drawings or requirements:
- Hose length parameters: Total hose length. Effective working length. Length tolerance (usually ±1–3mm; we can follow your standards)
- Joint structure (both ends): Joint type: straight, 90° elbow, 45° elbow, union, barbed, quick-connect, etc. Joint length, hexagon size, rotating or fixed structure. Sealing type: flat, conical, O-ring, gasket, etc.
- Joint thread specs: Thread type: G/BSP, NPT, Metric, UNC/UNF, Rp/Rc, etc. Thread size: 1/2″, 3/8″, M10×1.0, G3/4, etc. Thread precision, pitch, internal/external thread direction

3. What is the coating material and wear resistance test data of the color braided hose?
Plumberstar colored stainless steel braided hoses use a special polymer high-temperature coating. They work well in home decoration, bathrooms, heating, and engineering projects. These places need both good looks and durability.
Our colored hoses use eco-friendly polyester or nylon composite coating. The coating is attached evenly to 304 stainless steel wires. It has these features:
Strong adhesion, won’t fall off easily, No fading, no chalking, Resists high and low temperatures, Fits bathroom cold and hot water use
Resists water and moisture, no mold, no fading after long bathroom use, meets eco standards, no smell, non-toxic, safe for drinking water systems. Stable color (red, blue, gold, silver, gray, black, etc.) We can customize colors as you need
We test the coating strictly to prevent wear during transport, installation, and use. Here are the tests:
- Steel wool abrasion test: Test: 500g weight, rub back and forth with standard steel wool. Result: Over 1000 rubs, no obvious scratches, no steel showing, no fading, no peeling
- Taber abrasion test: Test: Standard abrasion wheel and weight. Result: Very little wear, coating stays intact
- Bending wear test: Test: Bend the hose over 5000 times (rated bending radius). Result: No cracks, no peeling, no color change
- Scratch resistance test: Test: Scratch with standard hard tools (moderate force) Result: Coating doesn’t fall off, no steel color shows, looks intact
- Wear resistance after aging: Test: High-temperature, high-humidity accelerated aging. Result: Wear resistance remains ≥85%, durable for long use
4. What is the package for the flexible stainless steel braided hose?
Plumberstar provides both standard export packaging and custom packaging for flexible stainless steel braided hoses. We consider transport safety, storage efficiency, brand display, and user experience.
- Each product is packed separately in a transparent PE or PP bag. It is dust-proof, moisture-proof, and scratch-proof. It is easy for you to count and sell directly. Each hose comes with a standard instruction manual, quality certificate, and label. They show specs, model, pressure, length, and material.
- If you need, we can add foam, bubble bags, slot liners, or paper card hook packaging. This improves product grade and fits supermarket and e-commerce retail.
- We put a fixed number of individually packed hoses into standard 5-layer thick corrugated export cartons. The cartons are pressure-resistant, drop-resistant, and moisture-proof. They are good for long-distance sea and land transport. There are dividers and corner protectors inside the carton. They stop products from rubbing, squeezing, or getting damaged during shipping.
- The outer carton is printed uniformly with product name, specs, quantity, gross & net weight, marks, and warning signs. Everything is clear and standard. It is easy to load, unload, and clear customs.
We support color-printed inner bags, color boxes, gift boxes, and display boxes. You can print your logo, brand info, product features, and multilingual instructions.
We can customize carton marks, outer carton color, label format, barcode, and anti-counterfeiting marks. This is great for OEM/ODM brand customers and large engineering project supply.
5. Are palletized shipments supported for the braided hose?
Plumberstar fully supports and recommends shipping flexible stainless steel braided hoses on pallets. This is our most common and reliable way for foreign trade, large orders, and engineering orders. It keeps goods safe, stable, and easy to load/unload during long-distance transport.
We have mature, standard procedures for pallet shipping. We can meet your needs for sea freight, land transport, FCL, or LCL.
Standard wooden pallets: Meet export fumigation/IPPC quarantine standards. They have IPPC marks, so customs clearance is smooth in most countries. Plywood- and fumigation-free pallets: Good for orders with strict quarantine requirements or urgent shipping. No fumigation needed, export directly. Saves time and cost.
We can also provide pallets as you require: specified size, material, and specs. Fits your warehouse, port, and logistics operations.
We plan how to place the boxes based on hose length and box size. Boxes are neat and stable, no tilting or hanging. Each layer of cartons is flat. We use pallet space well, improve loading rate, and lower logistics cost per unit. Total pallet height is strictly controlled within the container safe range. No risks from being too high or heavy.
After packing the pallet, we wrap it with high-strength stretch film. This fixes all boxes firmly on the pallet. No scattered boxes, collapse, or movement during handling and shipping.
We add corner protectors on the edges. They prevent cartons from being squeezed and deformed. They also stop internal hose joints from getting damaged by pressure. We can add packing straps for extra reinforcement if you need. This makes the whole pallet more stable.
Plumberstar follows your requirements strictly. We do pallet packing, wrapping, reinforcement, and label pasting standardly. We make sure your stainless steel braided hoses reach the destination safely, standardly, and efficiently.

6. How does the stable quality of the braided hose support long-term contracts?
Plumberstar’s flexible stainless steel braided hoses can support your long-term cooperation, annual contracts, and long-term supply agreements. The reason is simple: we keep stable quality in every link. This includes raw materials, production, quality control, and batch consistency. Quality is standard, repeatable, and traceable.
We strictly control and stably supply raw materials. Inner tube uses EPDM/rubber that meets drinking water standards. Braided layer uses high-purity 304 stainless steel wire. Connectors are made of high-quality copper alloy or stainless steel.
All main materials come from leading suppliers. We have long-term supply agreements with them. This ensures material quality doesn’t drop, the formula doesn’t change, and performance doesn’t fluctuate. We avoid quality differences from raw material changes from the start.
We use standard, automatic, and large-scale production lines. Key steps are done by machines: braiding, crimping, cutting, assembly, and testing. This reduces human mistakes. Every hose has uniform length, size, thread precision, and crimping force. Whether your order is monthly, quarterly, or annual, there’s no problem with installation mismatch, poor sealing, or inconsistent feel.
Every hose must pass multiple tests: water-pressure burst test, sealing test, pulse-life test, connector-pull test, and coating-wear test. All test standards are fixed for a long time. We never lower or simplify them. We keep test data and samples for every batch. You can trace them anytime.
For customers with long-term contracts, we arrange production in advance according to your annual plan. We ensure a stable supply. Every batch of products has the same appearance, size, packaging, and certification. No differences between batches, no incompatibility with previous orders.
Plumberstar has a stable production capacity, mature export experience, and full-process service. We can support you with long-term contracts: production reservations, delivery guarantees, export qualifications, and inspection support.
