The valve body is made from lead-free brass with one-piece hot forging. This method works better than traditional casting. It cuts flaws, including sand holes, air holes, and loose internal structures. The metal becomes tighter and more even inside. The impact resistance and pressure capacity of the valve body increase by roughly 15%–25%. The product withstands long-term pressure fluctuations in water supply systems. We use a three-layer composite electroplating on the surface: a copper layer, a nickel layer, and a chromium layer. The total plating thickness remains between 8–12 μm. The internal water-seal structure complies with common drainage product design standards. Its water seal depth reaches about 50mm. It stops bad odors, insects, and harmful gases from flowing back up from sewage pipelines. Under regular working conditions, the water seal avoids most failures triggered by pressure shifts or siphon effects.
The valve body flow channel is finished through precise CNC machining and inner-wall polishing. Inner wall roughness is controlled to Ra≤ 1.6 μm. Water meets less resistance as it passes through. Dirt and impurities stick to the surface less easily. Drainage flows more smoothly. You do not need frequent regular cleaning and maintenance. The product keeps running steadily for a long time.

Our chrome brass P-traps work with many widely used thread types worldwide. We keep G British threads and NPT US taper threads in stock. We can also make custom metric threads if you need them. G threads are common for drain pipes in Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia. They lock tightly without leaks and fit most local home drainage parts. NPT taper threads are standard in America and Canada. Their sloped shape seals extra well once you wrap PTFE tape, matching local bathroom drain hardware. - Acquisition method: After signing batch orders (of 300 pieces or more), customers can submit drawings through their foreign trade specialists. The factory’s technical department will then complete the drawings and send them to the designated mailbox within three working days, without additional payment.
5. What is the surface treatment process for the brass P-trap?
Plumberstar chrome-plated brass P-traps are made with multi-layer composite electroplating. We follow strict standard controls across the whole plating process. This keeps a consistent coating look, corrosion resistance, and reliable long-term performance.
- We machine the brass body first. All parts go through pre-plating preparation. Workpieces move into eco-friendly degreasing tanks. We use ultrasonic cleaning and constant-temperature soaking at 55–60°C.
- Next comes weak acid activation. Parts then pass three rounds of pure water countercurrent rinsing to wash away leftover chemicals, followed by neutralization. Plating adheres better and forms an even surface. Once pretreatment finishes, products go through several polishing steps. Outer surfaces receive rough mechanical polishing, fine mechanical polishing, and manual touch-up one after another.
- Finished items have total coating thickness between 10–20 μm. The film thickness stays even. The parts resist corrosion well in damp washroom spaces and keep the same appearance after long use. Our full plating production line uses eco-approved plating materials and wastewater processing equipment.

6. What is the water seal depth of this P-trap?
Standard water seal for everyday use: For normal drainage needs—like home bathrooms and kitchens—Plumberstar P-type traps use a 50 mm water seal. Custom water seal options for special cases: Anti-siphon version: In high-rise apartments, hotels, or office buildings, pressure changes in the pipes can sometimes pull the water seal dry. For these situations, we offer deeper water seals in the 70–100 mm range. With an added anti-siphon design, this version keeps the seal stable even when the pipe pressure changes a lot. It’s a safer choice for buildings with heavy and frequent use.
