Boiler Solar Energy Water Heater Relief Valve
This relief valve is for boilers and solar water heaters. It has a multi-port structure, so it can connect to hot water pipes, pressure relief pipes, and temperature sensor ports all at once. It combines pressure and temperature relief functions in one. The spring-loaded valve core automatically opens to relieve pressure in case of system overpressure; when water temperature exceeds the safe threshold, the built-in temperature-sensing element actuates the valve core to drain water for cooling, providing double safety protection for the entire system.

FAQs of Thermostatic Head
1. What’s the difference between liquid-filled and gas-filled thermostatic heads?
The liquid-filled thermostatic valve head contains heat-sensitive liquid. It uses the stable, predictable thermal expansion and contraction of the liquid within the working temperature range to drive the actuator. It delivers a stable output force and adjusts gently. The structure is quite simple, and it’s not affected by vibrations during transportation and installation. It also has good long-term stability.
The gas-filled thermostatic valve head is filled with inert gas. Temperature changes quickly affect gas pressure, which then drives the valve stem to adjust. It responds fast and is highly sensitive. This makes it suitable for systems that need quick reactions to temperature changes. But its adjustment is quite sensitive. It also requires higher structural tightness and manufacturing precision.

2. Are thermostatic heads factory pre-calibrated?
Of course. All our thermostatic heads are pre-calibrated before leaving the factory. We set them strictly to the European EN 215 standard. Under standard test conditions, the number on the dial—like “3”—stably corresponds to an indoor temperature of about 20℃ (68℉).
This pre-calibration cuts down the need for installers’ experience. It avoids issues such as insufficient heating, overly high room temperature, or inaccurate temperature control due to incorrect manual adjustments. It stops end-customer complaints right at the source.
What’s more, our thermostatic heads undergo multiple tests under varying system pressures and temperature change conditions. We focus on checking their response sensitivity, temperature control accuracy, and long-term stability. All test data is fully recorded. We can provide the corresponding data reports as you need, for project acceptance or quality verification.
3. Can thermostatic heads be customized with different scales?
Of course, Plumberstar supports customization.
You just need to provide the dial design draft. Or our engineers can help you finish the design. After you confirm the plan, we’ll make the mold and produce samples. We only start mass production after you confirm the samples fully meet your expectations. This makes sure the final thermostatic valve heads delivered are truly exclusive to your brand.
Customization of scale range and temperature scale
For the U.S. market, we can customize °F markings.
For Europe and other regions, we can customize °C markings.
If your system has special needs, such as non-standard scale ranges like 0–6, we can also match them accurately based on your boiler or system parameters.
Icons and function symbols
We support printing snowflake marks (anti-freeze mode) and sun marks (comfortable temperature).
We can also use intuitive symbols like plus/minus signs and dot scales to improve the user’s operation experience.
Brand and visual customization
Your brand logo can be printed directly on the dial to boost end-user recognition.
The colors of the indicator ring and scale lines can be customized according to your brand’s main color. This makes the product stand out more on shelves and in projects.
4. What is the MOQ for OEM thermostatic head orders?
For customizations that don’t require product structure changes—like only LOGO engraving or regular packaging customization —the MOQ is 3,000 pieces. For long-term cooperation with customers with stable purchase volumes, we can negotiate a minimum of 2,000 pieces. Specific details are subject to order communication.
If you have special requirements that need new mold development, such as custom valve body shapes, temperature-sensing cavity structures, special interfaces, or exclusive surface treatment processes, the MOQ for OEM orders with new mold development is usually 5,000 pieces. This covers mold development costs and ensures production batch economy.
If you’re a long-term strategic partner and commit to continuous re-orders in the future, we can discuss a mold cost-sharing plan. The MOQ can then be reduced appropriately. Specific details need to be confirmed through mutual negotiation.

5. Are multilingual manuals available for the thermostatic head?
Plumberstar is a valve factory that specializes in customization. We can provide fully customized multilingual product manuals. This helps you enter markets in different countries smoothly.
We have complete standard language manual templates. They include all key information, such as installation, usage, and maintenance. We regularly support major international languages—English, German, French, Spanish, and more. The expressions are clear and follow industry usage habits.
Multilingual manuals are available in PDF and color-printed paper versions. We’ll send the electronic version to your designated email in advance. It’s easy for archiving, internal review, supplementary translation, or local printing.
The paper version is shipped with the goods. We allocate them reasonably based on your order quantity, and we can also provide extra copies if you need. If you want to add local certification marks, your brand info, or exclusive instructions in the manual, we can customize those at the same time.
Besides mainstream languages, if you need less common ones—like Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese—we can finish professional translation and typesetting quickly. We won’t extend the production and delivery cycle for this. This makes sure the manuals are delivered with the products at the same time.
6. Can the thermostatic head be supplied with the valve as a set?
Of course. We highly recommend buying the valve head + valve body as a complete set. It’s the better solution for balancing installation reliability, operational efficiency, and profit margins.
Buying a complete set means you only deal with one supplier, one SKU, one order, and one shipment. This greatly simplifies inventory management and logistics processes. At the same time, the total price of the set is usually better than buying the valve head and body separately. It reduces your procurement costs and increases your profit margin.
The valve head and body are made in the same production system. They have a high consistency in surface treatment, color, texture, and overall design. They form a complete set of high-end finished products, not a temporary assembly. This helps boost your brand image and makes it easier to set a higher market price.
We can customize different complete set combinations based on your actual application scenarios and installation needs, like: Single valve head + single angle valve, Valve head + ball valve combination, Batch matching of valve heads with valves of different diameters and pressure levels
Buying complete sets also gets you combined pricing discounts, further reducing your overall procurement costs.
7. Why choose a professional manufacturer for thermostatic heads?
Ordinary factories only give you ready-made products. Plumberstar, however, helps you build a brand that’s truly yours.
We support in-depth customization. Whether it’s a unique dial design, a brand logo die-cast on the valve body, or a specified surface treatment process, our engineering team and in-house mold workshop can make it happen. By creating high-quality, exclusive products through deep customization, you can eliminate homogeneous, low-priced competition. Customers will choose you because they trust your quality and brand. That’s exactly the long-term competitiveness an exclusive brand brings.
Thanks to automated production lines and a stable supply chain, Plumberstar can achieve large-scale production while maintaining consistent quality. We maintain a safe stock of core raw materials for a long time. Costs are well controlled through economies of scale, ensuring reliable product quality and good cost performance. For large orders, we can deliver stably and on time. We also support small-batch, multi-batch replenishment, helping you balance procurement costs and inventory pressure.
