1. What is the precise lead content in your “lead-free” brass elbows?

The global safety standard for lead content in drinking water stipulates that brass with a lead content of ≤0.25% can be called lead-free copper. The lead content in Plumberstar’s Lead-Free Brass Elbow ranges from 0.08% to 0.20%. It is far lower than the legal limit of 0.25% required for lead-free certification. Each batch of goods is accompanied by a complete testing report. It clearly indicates the specific lead content value of that batch. These technical testing reports can be provided by us free of charge. In addition to strictly controlling the lead content, the water-contacting surface of our lead-free brass elbow has undergone food-grade anti-corrosion polishing and passivation treatment. It can effectively prevent the precipitation of any trace heavy metal ions during contact with drinking water. It meets the drinking water contact requirements of global markets such as North America, Europe, and Australia.

2. Can you produce elbows with non-standard angles?

Yes, we can make brass elbows with special angles. Custom work is one of our strengths, and we support OEM and ODM.

We can produce common non-standard angles like 15°, 22.5°, 30°, 40°, 60°, and 75%. We can also make special angles based on your drawings, such as 27°, 55°, or 80°. There is no fixed limit on the angle.

All custom elbows are made with the same quality as our standard 90° elbows. The angle accuracy is well controlled, with a tolerance of about ±0.1°. This helps the elbow fit the pipe correctly and makes installation easy, without alignment problems.

3. Will a mold fee be charged for custom molds for Lead-Free Brass Elbow?

We charge a nominal mold fee for custom lead-free brass elbows. This fee is fully refunded when your subsequent order reaches the agreed batch quantity. This policy balances our mold R&D and production costs. At the same time, it reduces your initial customer investment risk. Specially optimized to support long-term cooperation with our OEM/ODM customers. No mold fee is charged for small batch common non-standard angle elbows that match our existing modified mold resources. It can be produced directly at zero initial cost.

For custom irregular angles (e.g., 27 °, 55 °, 80 °, any non-mainstream angle) and custom elbows with special structures (e.g., two-angle integration, non-standard caliber matching) without existing mold resources, we charge a one-time nominal mold development fee. The amount of the fee is determined by the complexity and accuracy requirements of the elbow structure. The specific standards are as follows:

• Standard custom molds (single angle, regular caliber: 1/4 “- 2”): $300 – $500/set
• High-precision/custom-structured molds (irregular angle + non-standard caliber/interface): $500 – $800/set

When the cumulative order quantity of your corresponding custom lead-free brass elbows reaches 5,000 pieces, the mold fee will be refunded to you in full in the form of order credit. The returned credit can be directly deducted from the payment of your subsequent orders. It is equivalent to developing molds for free for your bulk long-term purchases. The molds will be regularly maintained. To ensure the consistency of product quality for subsequent orders. If you need to take away the molds, we will assist you with the mold packaging and delivery procedures free of charge.

4. Can you handle the customs clearance process for Lead-Free Brass Elbow for me?

We can handle not only the customs declaration services for lead-free brass elbows. We provide customs declaration services for all products. It covers all customs clearance procedures for exports from China to designated destination countries. We can handle all customs clearance documents, declaration work, and customs coordination on your behalf to ensure smooth and timely customs clearance. You only need to confirm the basic transportation information without going through additional tedious procedures. Door-to-door DDP/DAP terms are optional. And the services are tailored according to the regulatory characteristics of lead-free brass elbows. The specific services include:

1. Basic transportation services are included without additional charges. We complete all export procedures from the factory (Taizhou) to the port of departure (Ningbo/Shanghai/Guangzhou). This includes preparing all standard export documents. It provides professional certification documents for lead-free brass elbows, completes customs declaration, cargo inspection, and port procedures on your behalf, and coordinates any random inspections and verifications with customs.

2. Import customs clearance in the destination country

We offer two core modes: DDP and DAP. Under the DDP mode, we are responsible for 100% of the import customs clearance procedures in the destination country, pay all relevant taxes and fees on your behalf, and deliver the goods directly to your designated warehouse/address. You only need to sign for the goods without going through any customs clearance procedures. Under the DAP mode, you only need to pay import duties/tariffs directly to the customs (the tax amount will be pre-calculated and notified to you). After customs clearance, we arrange inland transportation to deliver the goods to your designated address.

5. What is the cost for rush production of Lead-Free Brass Elbow?

The expedited fee is priced in tiers based on the order quantity, product specifications (standard model / non-standard customized model), and expedited time requirements. We achieve the compression of delivery time by allocating exclusive production lines, prioritizing production scheduling, and increasing production personnel. The larger the order quantity, the lower the unit expedited cost. All expedited fees include all costs of production line allocation, additional personnel allocation, 24-hour production, and priority quality inspection/packaging/storage. There are no additional expedited service fees or operation fees. It will be listed separately in the order invoice. The following are the specific expedited fee standards and corresponding time efficiency rules:

Regular production lead time: 10-15 working days. Expedited service can achieve three timeframes: 3 working days / 5 working days / 7 working days, with the fee being a fixed percentage of the total price of the regular order.

1. 7 working days expedited: The fee is 15% of the total price of the regular order.
2. 5 working days expedited: The fee is 30% of the total price of the regular order.
3. 3 working days expedited: The fee is 50% of the total price of the regular order.

6. Can I arrange for my own freight forwarder to pick up the Brass Elbow from your factory?

Yes, we fully support using your own freight forwarder to pick up the lead-free brass elbows directly from our factory. This service is free of charge.

Our factory is in Taizhou, Zhejiang. We have loading areas, forklifts, and staff who often work with international freight forwarders. We will help coordinate the pickup time, loading process, and document handover, and work closely with your forwarder.

We will prepare all shipping and customs documents needed for the brass elbows. These documents can be given to your forwarder 1–2 working days before pickup, or on the pickup day. We can provide both paper and electronic files. If needed, we can email the documents in advance so your forwarder can check them early and avoid delays.

For full container loads, the container can come directly to our factory for loading. For less-than-container loads, we can pack the goods together for free and send them to the warehouse chosen by your forwarder, such as Ningbo or Shanghai.

7. Do you have reducing elbows available in your lead-free brass catalog? 

Yes, our standard catalog offers a full range of lead-free brass reducing elbows. Designed specifically for pipe size conversion and corner connections, they come in a complete range of specifications.

We provide two of the most practical structural types of reducing elbows, both available in 90° and 45° angles. They fully cover the size conversion needs for general and special corners:
• Male thread × Female thread reducing elbow: One end is male thread, and the other end is female thread (the most popular stocked type, easy to install, and compatible with standard straight pipes/fittings).
• Female thread × Female thread reducing elbow: Double female threads (stocked product, suitable for rigid pipe connections and fixed size conversion scenarios).

Note: If male-thread × male-thread reducing elbows are needed, they can be customized with a low minimum order quantity and meet the same lead-free quality and precision standards.
