Plumberstar factory uses 316L stainless steel with a thickened wall, approximately 15% thicker than conventional designs, combined with a filleted inner flow channel (R ≥ 3 mm) to effectively disperse impact stress and reduce stress concentration.
Additionally, reinforcing ribs with a thickness of at least 5 mm are added at the valve body connection area, increasing the tensile strength to a minimum of 550 MPa.
The design has successfully passed 100,000 water hammer impact cycles, with pressure fluctuations ranging from 0.5 to 4.0 MPa, showing no cracks and no deformation.
It is well-suited for industrial and building piping systems with frequent pump start-stop operations.
A water hammer impact test report can be provided upon request.
2. Do you have a mini or detachable design for the elbow installation space?
We support two custom styles: compact type and split type.
Compact type size range: DN10 to DN25.It’s 20% smaller than regular elbows. Angle tolerance stays at 90°±0.5°. Wall thickness follows the SCH40 standard. Perfect for tight, narrow spaces.
Split type: The elbow is split into two separate parts. You can weld or bolt them together on site. Each part is no longer than 100mm after being taken apart. Easy to carry and install even in cramped areas.
3. How to improve the life expectancy of the elbow?
“Double Passivation” Treatment: First comes acid pickling passivation, which removes oxide scale from the surface. Then we do plasma passivation. This step forms a dense oxide film, approximately 5–8 μm thick. The result: Corrosion resistance goes up by 60%.
Valve Body Inner Wall “Self-Cleaning Flow Channel” Design. We use a bionic lotus leaf structure. The surface hydrophobic angle is greater than or equal to 110°. It won’t easily build up scale or stick to materials.
