It performs better and has a longer service life than cast-iron filters. It works great for buried pipelines or indoor pipes in moist environments. Its Y-shaped structure catches solid debris. Sand, tiny welding metal scraps, and rust flakes get trapped inside. These captured impurities shield downstream water pumps, other valves, and flow meters against damage. Your equipment will fail less frequently. The filter screen is easy to remove for maintenance. Open the drain cap at the bottom. Then pull out the screen and clean it. 3. What gasket material is available for this bronze strainer valve?

The bronze strainer valve uses PTFE gaskets as standard. This gasket fits regular temperature clean water and HVAC hot water service. You can switch to EPDM gaskets for high-temperature hot water applications. EPDM resists aging from hot water, keeps good elasticity and reliable sealing, and handles media temperatures up to 120℃. Pick NBR gaskets if your fluid carries small amounts of oil.

All gasket types have fixed temperature limits. Changing the gasket will alter the working range of the whole valve. We supply material certificates for these gaskets. For large orders, we can pre-fit your selected gaskets onto valves or pack extra spare gaskets along with your shipment.

Sure, you are welcome to place small trial orders for the bronze strainer valve. Standard sizes we keep in stock do not have strict minimum order quantity rules. We can arrange delivery even for small quantities, and these small batches work well for early project tests or site sample trials.

Trial orders use our stocked items with BSPP threads by default. Any changes, such as switching to NPT threads, adjusting the mesh size of filter screens, or changing gasket materials, will require a minimum order, and delivery will take longer than for stock products. Trial orders carry a higher unit price than bulk orders. Separate production, packaging, and inspection for small batches pushes up the cost for each piece. We send the factory inspection certificate together with the goods. Once your trial order is accepted, you can use the approved specifications directly for future large orders.

It catches large, solid contaminants such as welding slag and rust well. We also have other mesh options, including 40-mesh, 60-mesh, and 80-mesh. 40 mesh and 60 mesh deliver mid-level filtration, and they work to protect flow meters and small temperature control valves. 80 mesh provides the finest filtration but creates greater resistance to flowing fluid. You will need to clean it much more often when the fluid carries lots of impurities.
