1. What is the working principle of a self-closing faucet?

We make self-closing faucet cartridges under our brand Plumberstar. Inside each cartridge, there is a spring and a water-assisted seal. Just press or tap the faucet to let water flow. When you take your hand away, the spring pushes the inner part back, and the water stops right away. We are Plumberstar, and we have made bathroom hardware for over 15 years. We have tweaked this simple mechanical part many times to make it work better. Normal faucets need you to turn them off by hand. If you forget to close them, lots of water gets wasted. Our self-closing design stops this problem, saving more than 30% water. Best of all, this part never needs electricity to work.

2. Can a sample be provided before the self-closing faucet mass production?

Plumberstar self-closing faucets let you confirm samples before mass production. We offer a full sample service, including standard sample delivery and custom sampling.

We’re able to create custom, exclusive samples for any bespoke orders that require logo engraving, surface look changes, or functional modifications. You just need to send over your drawings and full technical specs, and we’ll give you a clear, trackable timeline for sample production:

  • Basic custom models (logo, appearance changes, etc.): ready in 7–10 working days;
  • In-depth custom models (structural or functional upgrades): ready in 15–20 working days.
We will send test papers together with your sample products. We will not start making lots of goods until you say all important performance rules match what you want. You may test the samples fully. You can check how well they stop water leaks, how fast they close by themselves, how long they can work, and what materials they are made of. Our workers will give you all technical numbers and simple test steps, so your test results are true and believable. For our long-time buyers and big orders, Plumberstar cuts the money you pay for samples. After you sign the big production order form, we will take the sample money off your final bill to help you spend less on early product tests.

3. What are the core advantages of self-closing faucets?

Compared to sensor faucets, the advantages of the Plumberstar self-closing faucet are primarily evident.

  • No dependence on power or environment: This all-mechanical design only has a failure rate below 0.1%, way better than sensor taps that depend on electronics—those usually see a failure rate between 3% and 5%. Our Plumberstar product also holds IPX5 waterproof certification, so it runs stably in damp spaces like public restrooms and outdoor washing areas without trouble.
  • It also does not need electricity.
  • Water saving without the common sensor problems: Our product can save at least 30% more water, just like sensor taps. It also fixes many annoying problems you often meet with sensor taps at home. When you use our tap, water comes out the second you press it. But sensor taps wait 0.3 to 0.5 seconds before water flows, which feels slow. Our tap will never turn on by mistake. Sensor taps often start running water by accident near glass or metal sinks, and this wrong trigger happens 15% to 20% of the time. Our simple push mechanical design never has this trouble. What’s more, you don’t need batteries for our tap. Sensor taps slow down when their batteries run low, but our tap keeps steady water pressure all the time, so washing hands or cleaning things becomes much easier.

4. How cost-effective is the Plumberstar self-closing faucet?

Better pricing, same core performance.
You can cut your spending by half or even up to 70% when you choose our products instead of well-known foreign big brands, and all key working functions stay just as good without any downgrade. This product can save at least 30% running water from being wasted, fully follows WaterSense and WELS official rules, and can still work well after over 50,000 pressure tests. Its overall quality matches those high-priced imported items perfectly.

More flexible customization.
A lot of imported brands set their custom order floor at 1,000 units, and you’ll usually wait 45 to 60 days to get your goods. But here at Plumberstar, we let clients start custom orders from just 300 pieces, and we can wrap up delivery in under 25 days—this setup fits small and mid-sized overseas trade orders far better.

5. How does Plumberstar factory ensure long-term supply stability for self-closing faucets?

Plumberstar has fully standardized factory workshops equipped with multiple automated production lines, and we rely on these machines to handle all key production procedures. We fabricate metal components through precise casting and CNC cutting, then assemble all accessories and carry out strict one-by-one inspection on each finished product. Our main product range covers self-closing faucet cores, brass valves, and floor drain fittings, with an annual output exceeding one million pieces. Such sufficient production capacity lets us stably fulfill large and long-term bulk orders without delays.

We keep around 15% to 20% extra production capacity on hand to handle busy seasonal surges or unexpected spikes in order volume. This spare capacity lets us hold steady on delivery schedules, and nearly all customer orders can be fully finished within 30 days.

6. How is the self-closing Faucet quality traceability system?

Every Plumberstar self-closing tap we make has its own unique batch number. We carve this number straight onto the bottom of the valve body with a laser. With this number, you can look up all key details of the tap: the raw material batch info, records of the machines that made it, and all test papers from production. You can reach our sales staff or visit the official Plumberstar website to download full test files, such as material test reports, long-term water pressure test records, and anti-rust salt spray test forms. If you find any quality issues with our taps, our professional technical team will find out what caused the problem and send you a clear, practical fix within 24 hours.

7. How do you protect customer designs and IP of the self-closing faucet?
When we start working together, Plumberstar will sign two official papers with you: an NDA and an IP ownership contract. These documents make all rules clear and protect the legal rights of both you and our team. Here are the main rules from these two papers:

All the intellectual property that belongs to you will always stay yours completely. Every drawing, technical document, structural sketch, and product look design you send to us is your private, exclusive asset. At Plumberstar, we only use these files for the cooperation project we agreed on together. We will never reuse them for other customers’ orders, and we will never share or show any of these private materials to any outside third-party companies.

We have laid out clear rules for the ownership of all co-developed product modifications and upgrades. If both sides adjust product structures or boost performance together—like optimizing valve core response speed or upgrading water-saving parts—you will generally own all exclusive intellectual property rights for these revised designs. If you’d rather share the IP rights instead, we can add corresponding terms into our formal contract as you prefer. Our cooperation contract also includes clear liability rules and compensation standards. Should our factory’s carelessness lead to IP leakage, unauthorized use, or improper exploitation of your intellectual property, Plumberstar will compensate you several times your order value as agreed in the contract, and fully cover all your legal rights protection costs.
